Keith Bilney had a significant impact on the development of rowing at Carey from the 1960s to the late 1980s, coaching girls and boys to First Crew level and assisting with the teaching of beginners. His knowledge of the sport and the wealth of his own rowing experience, and his kindly disposition and generosity, will be remembered by all who were associated with him as Crews or as members of successive Boat Club Committees.
Keith and his wife, Bernice, also made a major contribution to Carey's Outdoor Education programme through their administration of the Camp Store.
