Graham Yallop (OCG 1971)
Graham Yallop (OCG 1971) was in the First XI for the last five of his seven years at Carey. In that time he scored a total of 1299 runs in the APS Cricket. Evidence of the quality of Graham's batting is the fact that the only other Public School cricketers who have succeeded this total were Lindsay Hassett, Paul Sheehan, Ian Redpath (all of Geelong College) and Colin McDonald (Wesley).
Graham first began playing for Richmond Cricket Club in the season 1967-68, and by 1970-71 had won his way to their Firsts. He was a member of the Australian Schoolboy eleven which visited Ceylon during the season just ended, and in eight games Graham scored 488 runs, with a top score of 86. Experts think he has bright prospects in even bigger cricket.
