The Carey Theatre Workshop had its origins in 1966 with the task to design, build and decorate the scenery for the first combined Carey Strathcona musical production to be staged entitled "The Boy Friend" in October 1966 at the Kew Town Hall. Carey, then a boys only school, produced the show involving girls from its sister Baptist School Strathcona. Mr. Warwick J Taylor was responsible for choreography and costumes, Mr. Milton Thrift for the musical direction, Mr. Jack Stevenson was producer, and Mr A E "Gerry" Grimwade for scenery production and backstage.DateBetween 1st January 2018 and 31st December 2018TypeManuscriptCategoryArts & Culture
