Description
CreatorCarey Baptist Grammar SchoolDescriptionDuring third term a programme of four One-Act Plays was presented. This was a new
venture and proved to be thoroughly worthwhile. The plays were: "The Doubtful Misfortune of Li Sing" (Neil Tusan); "The Bespoke Overcoat" (Wolf Mankowicz); "Resounding Tinkle" (N. F. Simpson); "The Browning Version" (Terence Rattigan). Messrs. Keyte, Stevenson, Hickey and Taylor were responsible for the productions but in each case the boys themselves took a major part in the direction. Once again it is difficult to single out any one performance but Liam McCaul's performance as Crocker-Harris in "The Browning Version" was a remarkably fine piece of characterisation.
