The redevelopment of the lower playground was undertaken over a four-year planning period. The project resulted in a new synthetic-surfaced area incorporating a substantial amphitheatre, designed to support a wide range of physical education activities while also providing a vibrant new playground space. Construction took four months and involved significant site works, including the delivery of 35 truckloads of soil to extend and level the existing area. Upon completion, the space accommodated physical education classes as well as basketball, netball, and soccer. Since its opening, the area has become a lively and well-used part of the campus, offering a flexible and practical environment for multiple sports and games, while retaining the character of the campus’s intimate bush setting.
