Facing Wrixon Street, the Macafee Courts were officially opened on 31 May 1997 by Mr Rob Macafee, a past parent and long-time supporter of Carey. Rob’s contributions to the School included helping to establish the Carey Foundation and participating in numerous fundraising initiatives.

A passionate sportsman, Rob saw this project as a way to enhance Carey’s sporting facilities. 

The courts were refurbished in 2019 as part of the Middle School redevelopment. In 2024, a dome was installed over the entire space, allowing for year-round, all-weather use.
