Wendy joined the Junior School staff in 1978 before transferring to the Prep School, where she conducted art classes in the kitchen and on the back verandah of Farrer House.

When the Donvale campus was established in 1989, Wendy was invited by Don Brown to join as a foundation staff member. She transformed a neglected and uninspiring art room into a bright, welcoming and creative space. At Donvale, she brought the same love of art, diligence and deep respect for students and their creativity that had characterised her work at the Kew campus.

Wendy consistently encouraged students to value their own creative efforts. She demonstrated this commitment by frequently spending weekends and evenings at school, carefully mounting and displaying student work throughout the campus.
