CreatorCarey Baptist Grammar SchoolDescription75th Anniversary Performance, Carey Donvale, 19 June 1997. A student production presented at Carey Donvale as part of Carey’s 75th Anniversary celebrations. The pageant explored the history of Carey from its opening in 1923, with students working alongside Old Grammarian Alfred Mellor OBE to research and bring the School’s history to life on stage. The production was framed as a special concert attended by members of Carey’s original class and their wives, who reflected on the School’s early years and its development over 75 years. A central feature of the performance was the story of “The Lost Boy”, a mysterious unidentified boy who appeared in the photograph taken on Carey’s first day in 1923, but was never subsequently identified or seen at the School. The production was performed at Carey Donvale on 19 June 1997.Date19th June 1997Year1997Original format8 leaves : ill. TypeProgrammeLanguageEnglish
