Don Brown Library
Description
Alternative name(s)Donvale LibraryDescription
Constructed primarily of timber around 1971–72, the Don Brown Library features a distinctive steeply pitched octagonal design with a central hexagonal skylight. Its architectural concept was inspired by the idea of a treehouse, creating a unique and inviting learning environment. The building underwent renovation in 1989 and is named in honour of Mr. Don Brown, the inaugural Headmaster of the Donvale campus.
The Don Brown Library is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and is protected under Heritage Overlay Number HO60.
