DescriptionDuring a number of lunchtimes during the football season, looking from the staff Common Room window, staff members would watch the eighth forms battle it out to win the coveted Eighth Form Footy Trophy.

Each team was ably coached by either its form master or the school prefect who had 'adopted' the form.

Eventually, after tight and high standard football had been played, 8C and 8D managed to make the Grand Final, and a great spectacle it was.

After 8C grabbed a commanding lead, 8D tried to peg them back with fine football, but it was to no avail: 8C became winners by 10 goals.

Later a trophy was made for the winners.
