17th Nov 2023 9:56PMIn the late 80s, a teacher who I believe was Mr. Sykes addressed the Senior School assembly one day, and told a story of how there was one boy who thought he was hilarious. Mr. Sykes said that he told the boy in no uncertain terms that he wasn't funny. That boy was Steve Vizard. Of course, all of us laughed as Steve Vizard was the writer for the comedy show Fast Forward at that time, and host of his own late night talk show.
