Honour boards containing names of Captains and Duces from 1923 to 1954
Statement of significanceCrafted by cabinet maker Mr W. R. Brown and presented to Carey by Mrs C. H. Murphy. Mr W. R. Brown was the father of Arthur and Pearce Brown who were Carey boys in the 1920s/1930s. He lived at 140 Rathmines Road Hawthorn East and was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church. It is believed that Mrs Murphy was Mr. Brown's mother-in-law.
