Statement of significanceNorman John Wilcox (student register no. 357) entered Carey on 14 February 1928. The December 1937 Chronicle reported that the medal was awarded at the Annual House Sports held on the School Oval on Saturday, 2nd October [1937] and that "recent rains had caused the tracks to be heavy, and made conditions difficult for high jumping."
The inscription reads: 'N. Wilcox Open High Jump 1937'.
