This bronze bas-relief plaque, the work of Old Carey Grammarian artist Walter Magilton, was placed originally on a large boulder outside the narthex of the William Carey Chapel.
In 1998 it was removed by stealth and a new bronze bas-relief plaque created from Walter Magilton's original cast and attached to the boulder in 1999.
During 2000, Principal Ross H. Millikan received an unusual telephone call advising that this plaque could be retrieved from a nominated suburban front garden.
A new bronze bas-relief plaque was attached to the boulder in 1999.
