CreatorCarey Baptist Grammar SchoolDescription"Strathcona girls were pleasantly surprised at the beginning of second term when Carey invited about 20 girls from the Leaving and Matriculation forms to participate in their production of "The Boyfriend".

Under the expert guidance of Messrs. Thrift, Stevenson and Taylor, of Carey, teh cast learnt stage technique and dance routines. At each rehearsal, our singing improved until event Mr. Thrift, that perfectionist, considered us "god enough to try it!"

The performance was held on three consecutive evenings at the Kew City Hall, Together with the bright consumes, the excellent Carey props, and the very efficient handling of the business matters by Vivien and Libby, the show provided very successful. As "Dulcie" says to one of the "Boyfriends": "Oh, how thrilling" it all was.
