Graeme Frederick Burley
Mr. Graeme F. Burley served as Business Manager at Strathcona for three years before joining Carey in 1967 as School Bursar. He was an active member of the Bursars' Association of Victoria. With many years of youth work experience, Mr. Burley was also a council member of the Australian Council of the Boys' Brigade and held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Christian Education Council of the Baptist Union of Victoria.
His personal interests included archery, model railways and fishing. A keen archer himself, he introduced archery to the camping curriculum. Later, due to ill health, he transitioned to the Junior School’s Manual Arts section and took on several roles such as Assistant Housemaster of Livingstone, Organiser of the Model Aero Club, Quartermaster at Camp Toonallook, and Treasurer of the Camp Toonallook Committee.
Mr. Burley passed away on 1 December 1978 following a lengthy illness.
