In December 1924, Mrs Grace Emily Moore, wife of the President of the School Council, presented this German-made wall clock to the School. When the new Preparatory School opened in May 1925, the clock was placed on the north wall of Raymond Hall, where it remained for many years until the space was later converted for physical education use.
The clock, fitted with Westminster chimes, had originally been presented to Mrs Moore’s father, the Rev. William Poole.
