Students and staff from the Donvale campus participated in the creation of the Wombat Bend All Abilities Play Space at Finns Reserve, Templestowe, officially opened on Friday 29 February 2008. Led by art teacher Jeanette Jennings, students contributed to the construction of the playground, particularly the collaborative mosaic installed within the meeting space.

As part of the broader community project, Year 4 students also nurtured seedlings for the landscaping of the site and later assisted with the planting process. The initiative reflected the Donvale campus emphasis on creativity, environmental stewardship and meaningful community engagement.
