Ross H. Millikan Centre
Named in honour of Carey’s fifth Principal, Dr Ross H Millikan (1990–2001), the building was formally opened in 2002. The three-storey complex was the first stage of the new Senior School building project.
Architecturally, this building reflected existing Carey structures – especially through the use of the stone which features around the campus and, notably, on the Carey sign at the main entrance on Barker's Road – but also has its own character. The interior set new standards in classroom design and provided great scope for the delivery of Carey’s expanding curriculum.
The building houses science laboratories, a humanities centre, graphics, media studios and a 120-seat multipurpose lecture theatre named in honour of former staff member, Russell Costello.
