Carey Railway Club
Description
History
From its humble beginnings in 1958, this Club developed through the enthusiasm of the boys concerned and the co-operation of some staff members.
The Club maintained a library of railway and model train magazines and twenty-four financial members.
The Club's headquarters was a room on a remarkable structure known as "the verandah". Activities included excursions, slide shows and model days. Rail trips were made to Wedderburn, Heathcote, Bendigo, Alexandra and Sea Lake by passenger and goods trains. The Club took pride in being the longest running Club*
