Mrs Helena Corkhill was one of the full time foundation members of the Carey Staff of 13 February 1923. She was in charge of the Preparatory School boys, located initially in Urangeline.
She came to Carey from the Melbourne Training College, and she had wide experience in Junior school work, lecturing in the Art of Infant Training. The Principal of the College had commended her without hesitation.
She died on 5 June 1932 at Castlemaine, Victoria.
